Lone Worker Monitoring

AlonesSafe

Our solution is a re-assuring, app-based check-in system coupled with human monitoring and a physical in-person response where required.

We field all check-in "fails" to to establish a person's welfare and escalate based on an agreed plan.
This may be a call to another staff member/manager, or one of our team attending the last known location.

The system alerts are designed in a way to prevent false missed-check calls.
Protect your lone workers today from as little as £26 per month.

What is a lone worker?

Any employee who is working on their own. Whether it be for 1 minute, a couple of hours or a full shift, employers should have a plan in place.

Lone workers could suffer from injuries due to workplace accidents, intrusion/aggression, crime or ill health.

Our AloneSafe solution helps to prevent this by requesting check-in via a simple tap of a button at regular intervals.

If they don't check-in, the system will send them a series of alerts and automatic calls.  If they still don't check-in, we are then alerted and escalate via a pre-agreed reaction.

See the below examples of lone working which are often taken for granted...

How does it work?

01

The team member initiates the check-calls

A simple, user friendly login will initiate the check-in cycle. We can choose any frequency for check-ins from 10 minutes to hours.
The profiles are all pre-set up with escalation plans and alert notification preferences so the user doesn't have to do any of the setting up.

The team member might do something more higher risk than usual - the app allows them to change the check-in to a shorter frequency temporarily. For example they may be entering an enclosed space, or visiting a member of the public's home.

02

The team member checks in.

The check-in countdown timer keeps counting down until the team member checks in. If they check-in before or at the expected time, then the timer resets again.

If they don't check-in after the countdown, then they will first receive an app alert to remind them to check in. They'll then also receive an SMS message and Whatsapp message.  If they still don't check-in, they will receive an automated phone call as a final attempt to prompt them.

If there is no check-in after all of these reminders and alerts the system will notify Eboracum's help desk who will escalate (step 3).

Escalation flow

03

Check-in not completed and is escalated to Eboracum's helpdesk.

The escalation following a failed check-in is bespoke to our customer needs. Some customers want us to call their managers/other site contacts, others want us to attend the last known location to check that the team member is safe and well.

When we respond in-person, we use the location data from the last known location.  (Note that location date is sent to Eboracum when checking-in ).   We are equipped with first aid kits and a defib should the worse happen. If we suspect something adverse we will also call emergency services.

In the likely event that the failed-checkin was a mistake (phone left in locker for example), we will confirm that the team member is not under duress and that they are well before leaving.

Our lone worker monitoring solution is quick to implement and easy to use. Don't delay, protect your lone workers straight away!
